A portrait of a simply stunning crash of White Rhinos titled 'Fragility' has to be truly one of my favourite portraits I have complted so far. These truly amazing animals are now classed as 'Near threatened' which is beyond sad but there are now approximately 18,000 that live on private game reserves and protected areas. Hunted for their horns to be used in 'traditional Chinese and Asian medicine', it is sickening that this belief still exists.

A percentage of the sale will be donated to Ol Pejeta.

Ol Pejeta is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, and home to two of the world’s last remaining northern white rhinos. It is the only place in Kenya to see chimpanzees, in a sanctuary established to rehabilitate animals rescued from the black market. It has some of the highest predator densities in Kenya, and still manages a very successful livestock programme. Ol Pejeta also seeks to support the people living around its borders, to ensure wildlife conservation translates to better education, healthcare and infrastructure for the next generation of wildlife guardians.

The portrait is in a glass fronted mid charcoal frame, with a silver inner trim and mounted with a double soft white mount, which sets off the image beautifully.
